Dr. Altieri completed her college degree in Human Anatomy and physiology in NY, at Empire State University. After earning her chiropractic degree from University Of Bridgeport College of Chiropractic, Dr. Altieri remained in the state of CT, where she completed her internship and externship at the University of Bridgeport.
Dr. Altieri has operated and managed a successful practice in the state of CT for about 6 years. In addition, she provides wellness and other instructional classes at the local adult education centers.

Why I chose to be a chiropractor:
Few years ago I was involved in a dangerous motor vehicle accident that changed my life forever. I was going to work and while trying to take a turn in a sharp curve my direction broke. I ended up under an 18 wheeler truck. They pulled me out of the car, unconscious. At the hospital, they didn't think I would make it. But, I did.I couldn't work or go to school. I went to a few doctors, but no one seemed to be able to really help me. All they would give were pain killers and suggested to me back surgery! Yeah, I even went to the one in NY, Fifth Ave. Then, a friend recommended a chiropractor. As I started to get adjusted, my neck pain, back pain, and headaches steadily improved, and now, seven years later, my neck pain is only occasional. That seems like a small thing, but it made a huge difference to me. So much that I decided to go to chiropractic school. It is strange how life is, because now people come to see me with their neck, back & pain, migraines, leg pain, knee pain, shoulder/arm pain, whiplash from car accidents, ear infections, asthma, allergies, numbness in limbs, athletic injuries, failed surgeries, infertility problems just to name a few.
